Our mission

It is the mission of NEO:IHL to educate as many as we're able to about International Humanitarian Law, so people can make more thoughtful and knowledgeable decisions and discussions regarding Armed Conflict.

What is International Humanitarian Law?
International Humanitarian Law are the rules of war, that seek to limit the effects of armed conflict for humanitarian reasons

Built upon treaty and customary law. Treaty law composed of the Geneva Conventions and the Hague Conventions. Also built upon several treaties less universally recognized.
It is applied to armed conflict situations between states against states and states against an non-state armed group.
It protects civilians and civilian property from unnecessary destruction. It sets limits on the types of weapons that can be used against those engaging in hostilities.
